This is the Root Cause of Your Problem!!

Over time, we get used to facing problems.

Why is it so?

Have you ever thought about it?

Well, I think that when we face a problem for the first time, we get nervous, we panic mostly, and in doing so, we forget to search for the solution.

But when the second time the same problem hits, or for the third time, we are ready because we have practised how to handle these challenges.

We have experienced it. We have lived it. We have survived it.

Now, have you ever thought why the same problem keeps surfacing after some time?

This is because we work on symptoms, not on the root cause.

Now, you must be wondering – why or how?

Let me tell you a story.

Earlier my organization was not able to generate enough sales even with a good lead and things were going down.

I had two options – first being that I change the salesperson or the second – to dig deeper about the root cause.

And I am glad that I choose to dig deeper. My primary goal was to find out what, how, why, and the action to prevent it.

I kept asking questions to myself and ultimately found everything. For the case of ‘what’- sales were down, that was the problem.

Digging deeper, I saw that quality leads were going to a less experienced salesperson, and they were not able to convert it into sales.

This was the ‘how’ part, and this is the most important part if you want to get a permanent solution.

After digging deeper, I found this is happening because there’s no management in the case of leads. We were generating quality leads, but it must reach a good salesperson for conversion. The answer to ‘why’.

Then I decided to form a set of rules about how the leads will be distributed among salespeople. After this step sales started to pick up without any change in leads, this problem was solved forever.

If you want to get permanent solutions, you must be prepared to ask questions about the ‘what’, ‘how’ and ‘why’ and then think about the solution.

The case is the same for branding. Some brands keep facing the same problem again and again just because they don’t go deeper and then find solutions. All they do is just trying and scratch the surface of the problem, and then the customer starts to lose interest in them. But once the permanent solution is found, then everything comes right on track.

Always remember what Albert Einstein said, “If I had an hour to solve a problem, I’d spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and five minutes thinking about its solution.”

Now my question to you all is, do you take the time? Do you think enough about the problem and its root cause? And more importantly, are you taking the proper steps to eradicate the root cause of such problems?

Comment below about some of the problems you are facing right now OR share with me one-on-one and let’s see if we can’t come up with a solution that fixes the problem, for all times ahead?

Together, let’s do the new.
